Do you have any advice for someone just getting into photography?

What kind of camera should I get if I'm just starting out in photography?
I can't tell you what's right for you, but I can tell you what worked for me. I started out with a Canon Digital Rebel. It was the perfect starter DSLR for me, someone with no photography experience. I really learned how to use every feature that camera offered. Four years later when I upgraded to a 5D I had the basics down without having to think about it.
